The Biotrainer High is an evolution of the Biotrainer Low, inspired by classic high top basketball shoes and featuring a heel counter molded from high-grade leather typically reserved for high-end men's dress shoes. The unique sole of the FEIT Biotrainer is made of natural latex rubber from the milk of the hevea brasiliensis (rubber tree) plant.
Historically, cordovan leather, made from the buttocks part of a horse skin, has been used only for luxury dress shoes. For our FEIT shoes we use the entire skin - hence the name "semi-cordovan." The leather is tanned slowly, nourished with natural oils, and shaved. A century ago, when horses were still a driving force behind transportation, hides were plentiful. Now they are extremely scarce and difficult to come by.
The use of this highly luxurious and elevated skin allows the foot to breathe and, because it is much softer, does not require breaking in.
The FEIT Biotrainer is constructed from start to finish by one master craftsman. Hand sewn from a single piece of english suede, this shoe is left on the last for ten days where light steam is used to tighten the leather - ensuring superior shape and fit. The buffalo leather footbed provides padding, absorbs moisture & breathes without retaining sweat or odor.

Each pair of FEIT shoes comes with an extra set cork and buffalo leather insoles to assist with in-between sizing. The additional leather insole can be used alone, or the cork can be inserted underneath the leather for extra padding. If you are between sizes, you can either size up and use the included insoles, or size down and use no additional insoles.
